Sunday, November 3, 2013, St Jude's Sunday worship times return to our usual format of an 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. service. 8:00 a.m. is Rite I and the 10:30 a.m. service is Rite II.

And don't forget, fall back! Daylight Savings time ends Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m.

Lots on the calendar for St Jude's so we want to touch base here on the blog, too:

Friday, August 30th at 11:00 a.m., we will celebrate the life of Buzz Ayers' father, Arnold Ayers.

Sunday, September 1st after the single service, we will have a potluck luncheon to welcome Fr. John and Amanda Roberts; there will also be a money-tree for the benefit of Baby Roberts.

Temple Beth Emet will celebrate the High Holy Days at St Jude's again this year. Service dates and times for 2013 are:
Rosh Hashanah: September 4th at 8 p.m. and September 5th at 10 a.m.
Yom Kippur: September 13th at 8 p.m. and September 14th at 10 a.m.

St Jude's will host Family Promise the week of September 22-29, ably assisted by Temple Beth Emet.

S I N G L E service S U M M E R hours

For July and August (and maybe September, too) we will be enjoying a single 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday mornings. This will save us a lot in air conditioning costs and gives us the pleasure of connecting with folks who usually go to the "other" service, whichever service that happens to be!

So come join us, just come early... or late, as the case may be!!

Bible study will also start an hour earlier: 8:30a in the Glover Room.

HEALING the LAND - Dr. Suuqiina

Please join us on June 19, for Dr. Suuqiina teaching in the St Jude's Parish Hall; the topic will be "Healing the Land."

On the related topic of caring for and healing our bodies, St. Jude's will host another Life Line Screening on June 27. Please call the Parish Office to sign up for the Parish discount.

Empty Bowl Fundraiser for Family Promise
